With over 27 years working as a therapist, Karen holds a wealth of knowledge and experience in psychotherapy, that seamlessly combines with a genuine warmth, empathy and capacity to connect deeply with people.

From early in her career, Karen became interested in  the parent-infant relationship, the perinatal period, parenting and child development.  She believes that supporting our first and earliest relationship(s) and this major transitional stage is fundamental to our later relationships and wellbeing.

Subsequently, Karen became interested in working with individuals and couples around other life transitions, which includes all the endings and beginnings of relationships, work, health, home, etc as well as the end phase.  She believes the transitional periods in our lives can be pivotal times offering unique opportunities for growth and healing.

Karen predominantly uses the approach of psychodynamic psychotherapy to gain understanding and insight into the deeper layers of an individual’s presenting issues.
