About Karen Potter

Karen is deeply committed to exploring and understanding the deeper layers to people, and their relationships.  This journey is very much a working together to develop greater insight, awareness and understanding about where behaviours, emotions and thinking patterns might be coming from.  Karen is passionate about sitting with people as they explore themselves, their pain, their life and relationships. Through this process, people can become more compassionate, accepting, open and connected to themselves and others as well as more at peace with what is happening.

Karen has a depth and breadth of knowledge, understanding and experience in: the perinatal/infant-parent transition of life; parenting of children and adolescents;  life’s transitions, which can include loss & grief; and, end of life and bereavement.

Karen also has a strong interest in mentoring with individuals.  This involves working with people to understand where they are at now, and where, and who, they want to become.  It is more practically focused than psychotherapy and we look at work, career, relationships and life in general.

In addition, Karen offers Clinical Supervision to practitioners working in private practice as well as within organisations.  She offers consultancy services to organisations.

Karen currently works part-time in her private practice and offers face-to-face and telehealth options.
